Traumatic Brain Injury project topic of new DOC award

Using results of the Institute's Traumatic Brain Injury Prevalence
report, the Indiana Department of Correction has been awarded a nearly $1 million federal grant to provide screening and treatment to prisoners as they are released. The study, conducted in partnership with the Indiana Department of Correction, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, and the Brain Injury Association of Indiana, detailed the high occurrence of traumatic brain injury among Indiana prisoners and the need to develop programs to address this issue.
