Institute seeks survey participants for Latino needs assessment

March 19, 2015

The Indiana Latino Institute (ILI) is partnering with the IU Public Policy Institute to implement a statewide Latino needs assessment and community outreach initiative. To help accomplish this, the Institute is conducting an online Survey of Organizations Serving the Indiana Latino Community on behalf of ILI.

The Institute would like to provide the opportunity for organizations serving the Latino community to participate in this important effort. Please send the name and contact information for the person who is suited to filling out the survey to Rachel Thelin, Institute researcher, at or 317-261-3024.

The main goal of this survey is to gather perspectives of organizations and individuals throughout the state that are involved in providing services to members of the Latino community.

The survey covers a range of topics of importance to the Latino community in Indiana, including 1) critical needs of the Latino community, 2) the scope and quality of available programs and services, 3) changes in demand for and gaps in service provision, and 4) collaboration among organizations serving the Latino community in our state.

Survey findings will form an important basis for discussion as Indiana organizations who serve the Latino community, both locally and statewide, develop strategies for improving accessibility to and provision of services to Indiana's Latino community and for developing meaningful partnerships between service providers.
