Student research assistants help Institute staff and faculty fulfill our mission as we take on new initiatives and continue projects with longtime clients.

Matthew Impink has worked on projects for the Institute and the IU Center for Civic Literacy. For his efforts, Impink won SPEA's Outstanding MPA Student Award. He also graduated from SPEA IUPUI in May 2015.

Other graduates include: Amy Banks, who received a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Management; and Jessica Majors, who received an MPA in Policy Analysis.

The Institute also thanks the following student research assistants for the important work they contributed this year:

He also established the Civic Blog with a lineup of 19 scholars and practitioners that contribute their observations on the civic important in the world. Additionally, Impink managed the online Journal of Civic Literacy, which publishes interdisciplinary scholarly research, and designed an outreach campaign and dissemination of research findings to relevant constituents, among other responsibilities.
