The IU Public Policy Institute, through contract with Indy Parks and Recreation, analyzed the position of the Indianapolis park system through an examination of the location, use, and public value of Indianapolis parks. The analysis uses primary and secondary data to provide estimates of annual park attendance, identify park service areas as well as the market coverage and market potential for park amenities, and establishes the monetary value of parks as manifested in single-family residential property values.
