Services: Survey analysis, Focus groups, Data analysis, Survey design, Analytical studies

Research Areas: Economic Development, Land Use & Environment

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick is expected to contribute to the quality of life and economy of central Indiana by increasing the potential for a greener and fitter community, providing additional bike and pedestrian commuting options, making the city more attractive through its commitment to quality and connectivity, and attracting new investment to the regional core. PPI helps gather and analyze the data to assess the impact.

The Institute used a multi-faceted approach to capture the many ways the Trail contributes to both the economy and quality of life in central Indiana. This evaluation for the Central Indiana Community Foundation consists of usage counts (automated and manual) and Trail user and business surveys. The project also examines the impact of new investment, growth in property value assessments, and identifies potential changes in consumer spending habits that may be attributed to the  Trail.
