Public Policy Institute
For more than 20 years, members of the IU Public Policy Institute have provided informed research and analysis to Indiana’s criminal justice systems. In that time, the Institute has established itself as a reliable resource for the study of the state’s corrections, courts, defense, and prosecution and sentencing systems. We offer research expertise in service areas such as program due-diligence assessments, the creation of baseline measures, and the evaluation of diverse federally funded programs.
The Institute assists criminal justice systems throughout the state and issues widely respected studies on topics, such as traffic-crash data and incarceration practices.
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute recently entered into discussions with the Indiana Department of Correction, the Brain Injury Association of Indiana, and the PPI to address the problem of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Indiana’s correctional facilities.
