PPI Senior Policy Analyst Drew Klacik will be the keynote speaker at the 109th Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting. The meeting will be be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 28 at The Commons in downtown Columbus.
“He will talk about something we all have a stake in, and that is the community’s economic well-being,” chamber president Cindy Frey told The Republic. “He will help us understand what it means to be a thriving community.”
Since joining the Center for Urban Policy and the Environment, now a part of the IU Public Policy Institute, as a policy analyst in October 1992, Drew Klacik’s principal areas of work have included economic development, state and local taxation, and affordable housing and neighborhood development policy. Much of his work is focused on Indiana and trying to understand how these issues interact and affect the quality of life and economic vitality of metropolitan areas.
