State lawmakers say they want more consistency from driver education programs and better ways of measuring the success of those programs. How to achieve those goals was the topic last week at the second of three scheduled out-of-session legislative study committee meetings on driver education. CCJR research staff participated in the discussion and are providing the committee with suggestions to improve data collection on driver education programs that will better enable researchers to assess the effectiveness of programs once the overhaul is complete.
