Analyzing Crime as a Barrier to Physical Activity: Incorporating Crime Measures in Trail Use Models

This 2005-2006 project is a supplement of the research in the Modeling Urban Trail Use project funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This part of the project will support development of objective measures of crime in diverse trail neighborhoods that complement the existing project, enable investigators to extend the current trail forecasting model, and provide insight into crime and other factors that affect patterns of use by diverse racial and ethnic groups in diverse neighborhoods.
