Preparation for the Foundations of East Chicago Leadership Transition

Services: Survey analysis, Facilitated decision making, Focus groups, Survey design, Strategic planning

Foundations of East Chicago (FEC) is an independent and private foundation that was formed in 2007 as a result of the merger between the East Chicago Community Development Foundation and the Twin City Education Foundation. In 2014, the founding executive director and the chair of the board and long-time board members stepped down. Through a contract with Barnes & Thornburg, PPI provides assistance in this leadership transition.

PPI examines FEC’s strategic focus in light of the transition, conducts surveys and key informant interviews with relevant stakeholders, and researches national best practices in leadership transitions (both executive director and board).
